Our TeamEmpowered Workforce

People are the engine that powers Unimin. Energetic, intelligent and motivated people find professional fulfillment and career-long opportunities in our organization. From highly trained equipment specialists to professional engineers and research scientists, talented individuals work together as colleagues with shared objectives and recognition.

Our employees are also the power behind our innovation, continuous improvement and safety initiatives. Through their participation on safety and health committees, workplace inspection and process improvement teams, each Unimin employee plays an important role in Unimin's ongoing efforts to advance product quality, minimize workplace hazards and promote safe practices.

We empower our employees and entrust to them the sustainability of our company

Wellness Programs

Our TeamWellness Programs

The mission of Unimin's Wellness Program, "Wellness Rocks!", is to support employee health by providing programs that target identified health risks, offer tools and educational opportunities to mitigate those health risks, measure health maintenance and improvement, and reward healthy outcomes.

The Wellness Rocks! program accomplishes this by incorporating resources of all health and welfare benefits, (including health and disability insurance, the Employee Assistance Program, and Workers' Compensation) and the Safety and Health Department, to specifically offer to employees and spouses:

  • Annual voluntary health screenings
  • Health risk assessments
  • Disease management
  • Tobacco cessation one-on-one coaching
  • Educational programs
  • Fitness programs
Personal Sustainability

Our TeamPersonal Sustainability

Training and education is a continuing, life-long endeavor at Unimin, and we encourage our employees to participate in the many programs organized under the Unimin University banner. Classroom seminars and technical training ensure our team is educated and equipped to create value for our customers and our Company. Courses in safety and health, engineering and industrial operations, geology and the environment, and leadership and managerial skills continually prepare our employees for their next challenge and job responsibility.

Unimin also sponsors a New Graduate Training Program (NGTP) to provide engineers and technically-oriented employees with immediate and substantive exposure to the many facets of our operations. The NGTP program allows new employees to work in a number of different departments and to interact with our management team before deciding on any one department in which to work.

Unimin delivers more than 100,000 hours of technical training, personal development and safety education each year
